You know the feeling when your ears start to tingle and burn and your can feel your face instantly turning red; your eyes slightly start to water and it literally feels like your stomach and ego are going to fall out of your butt?...Thats right folks I am talking about your MosT EmBaRraSSiNg MoMenT! At that moment you have two choices: tear up and run and hide in the bathroom or act like it didn't even phase you and laugh it off. Well these horrific moments may not seem so funny at the time, but a few days, months, or years later they are hilarious.

When I was in junior high my friend and I went for a rollerblade all around Cardston. We decided to go down the hill by the high school to get some ice cream at Dairy Queen (the hill is pretty steep). So there I went zooming down the hill, all the sudden I hear, "get out of the way," I look back and my friend has the most terrified look on her face and is completely out of control...she zooms past me and to my surprise she didn't even fall...as I got closer to her she said "We need to go home now!" I look at her and she had completely wet her pants out of shear fear. It was all the way down the her butt and pant legs. Me, being the good friend that I am, burst out laughing and couldn't even move. All she could say was "shut up and if you tell a soul I will kill you!" I lent her my sweater to tie around her waist, but that still didn't even cover it and off we went on our way home! My poor friend; we still had a good 10min. rollerblade across town. Someone even stopped to pick us up and she sheepishly declined for us. hahah I am sure this story still haunts her to this day and she still can't find the humour in it! She may even be mad at me for posting this...but hey I didn't list any names so no one will know who she is!

One day while waiting in the high school gym for volleyball practise to start all the girls were huddled around talking to each other while the boys team had begun running their laps...one jerk, who was in front of all the other guys ran past and yanked on my shorts...to my dismay both my underwear and shorts were at my ankles...my face began to burn and it felt as if everything was in slow motion...the rest of the boys volleyball team ran past laughing, and I am sure I gave the girls around me a show too...I was mortified!

Hawaii 2010

A few weeks ago we went to Hawaii with Nancy, Tate and their kids and we had a great time! We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo in Ko 'Olina on the main island. The condo was a short golf cart ride from the beach a few blocks away from the pool; the perfect location. We did almost everything you can do while in Hawaii. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center (my personal favorite), Waiamea Falls (I wouldn't consider them falls, more like a trickle of water, but the hike there was beautiful, Hanauma Bay (loved the snorkeling), hit up the North Shore and saw the "pipeline," went to the markets, walked down Waikiki and went to the Dole Plantation. It is a good thing we had two weeks there or there would have been no time at all for some R&R. The first week there the weather was fabulous, the second week was overcast too crappy. One of the crazy things that happened while there was the Tsunami, people went absolutely nuts, the mountains were crowded beyond belief, 30 car line-ups at the gas stations and lines all the way to the meat department in Costco for water. Maybe we should have been more worried than we were. We did get bottled water to prepare, but that is about it. All this hustle and bustle for a measly 0.6ft wave. Oh well at least we can say we survived a tsunami! All in all Hawaii was an amazing trip, great company, good food and kinda good weather. Thanks Nanc and Tate it was fun traveling with ya. I must add that Bennett was the best traveller ever, I think I cried more than him on the whole trip! Not a peep on the plane, gotta love that kid!

Ode to GLEE!

Glee oh how I love thee, this show is officially my favourite show on t.v! It has all the things I love: drama, music, dance, romance and most of all comedy! The person who definitely makes the show is Sue Sylvester, she has the best put-downs and is so intense...just love her. Some of my favourite quotes that have come from her mouth are:

Sue: You'll be adding revenge to the long list of things you're no good at, right next to being married, running a high school glee club and finding a hairstyle that doesn't look like a lesbian.

Sue: You're too busy chasing tail and loading your hair with enormous amounts of product. Today, it just looks like you put lard in it.

Sue: I'm going to ask you to smell your armpits. That's the smell of failure, and it's stinking up my office.

Sue: All I want is just one day a year when I'm not visually assaulted by uglies and fatties.

Isn't Sue Brilliant? One of the best gifts I saw this Christmas was my dad got a Sue Sylvester track suit and loved it!

Like I said I love everything about this t.v. series. Their soundtrack...amazing! And the most exciting thing yet is Glee starts back up again April 13th, I can't wait. If you don't watch it, start!

Blogging really?

Wow, I can't believe I am actually blogging! I guess it is time and this will relieve some of my guilt for being a blog stalker. Blog stalking isn't as bad if people have a chance to stalk your blog back right?...well it makes sense in my mind. A few other reasons why I am starting this up is:

1. My husband tells me I need a hobby (probably so I get off his back about playing video games) and blog instead.
2. My sister Nancy and friend Julie have been hounding me to start a blog, Julie even came and helped me set up my account so I could not procrastinate this task any longer.
3. I think it will be nice to have some sort of journal.
4. I am excited to catch my family up on our life, and remind myself of our achievements and failures.
5. I am hoping it will be somewhat therapeutic.
6. I am excited to write about my lil Bennett!
