A Huge shout out to all the Mothers out there on Mother's Day! I have been truly blessed with an amazing mother! My mom knows me inside and out and always supports me in whatever I do.
My mom never missed a sports game of mine, even though I was one of the worst players on the team...When I was in grade seven and I made my first basket of the year...there was my mom, proud as ever and cheering oh so loud, even though I scored on the wrong basket (did I mention this was halfway through the year too). My mom has always made me feel special! I have always loved the simple things she does like tickling my back in church. She was always up for a late night chat to hear me rant about useless drama!
When I was having my gall bladder attacks and was miserable, Melvin would always ask what he could do and all I could say was, "I want my mom"....there is just something so comforting about having your mom around when you are sick.
Last week I was home and I had the chance to read some of my mom's journal entries and I was just in awe over her testimony. My mom joined the church when she was 19 and has been so solid in the gospel ever since. My mom has always been very giving and loves to do service.
Another thing I love about my mom is that she looks great and young for her age...this has got me in trouble a few times because at work, ladies ask me to guess their age and I always compare them to my mom...needless to say I always guess they are way older than they are.
My mom is an awesome Grandma, she always spoils her grandkids, she brags about them (in a good way) and makes you feel like your kid is just the best and cutest kid around! Bennett lights up when he hears her voice.
There are so many things I love about my mom and I could go on forever, she truly is fabulous! If I can be half the mom my mom is then Bennett is one lucky guy. Love you MOM!
I am also grateful for my mother-in-law...She sure raised Melvin right! she:
-is an amazing cook
-has the best chuckle ever
-is always so calm
-she is great at playing the piano
-has a great sense of humour
-is so selfless....the list can go on and on...She is amazing!

Last but not least, I am so blessed to be a mom to Bennett, there is no better calling in life...Heavenly Father sure spoiled me. Bennett brings me so much joy, if I am having a bad day or moment all it takes is one smile from him and my attitude changes. I am so lucky!
